On May 30, 2008, to address the grass/weed problem in the lake and per the recommendation of the Lake Quality Committee and the MSU Extension Service, sterilized Grass Carp fish was released in the lake at a rate of five per acre (1,000 fish).    Please note, this will not immediately solve the grass/weed problem, as it will take a few years to get this situation under control.
