HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has a very prosperous new year. The community looked great throughout the holiday season with so many showing their Christmas spirit by decorating their homes.  As we start out this new year, I am looking forward to having a great 2011 in HAWL.  There are many capital improvements/projects still taking place and even more scheduled this year.

This month, there will be a new 5 ton air conditioner system installed in the restaurant. The old system was one of the original units in the building and has been experiencing numerous problems. White Dove Heating and Air Conditioning was awarded the project.  The total cost for this capital improvement is $5,843.38.  This project will be done during the first two weeks of this month as the restaurant does not open until January 19th.

The major sewer project is still in progress, and will continue during this year. The contractor started taking care of the erosion control problem which is occurring where the sewer lines were installed by re-grading and seeding those areas.   If you have any concerns such as ditch erosion, the placement of your grinder tank, the electrical panel or the connection from the main road line to your grinder tank, I strongly recommend that you contact Dungan Engineers at (601) 799-1037 prior to installation.  It is your responsibility to get in touch with them, before installation occurs to offset any problems.

In preparation for the new gate system, all property owners received last month by separate mailing, their property information report which we have on file in our database.  Many issues have been found in the phone numbers and “other occupants” (property owner dependents) sections in our current system.  We are requiring this data be updated as it is imperative the correct information goes into this new entrance system.   As a requirement for the upcoming decal renewal and the sale of new automated vehicle tags, all data must be reviewed, updated and signed by the property owner prior to the new decals/tags being issued. It is our objective to provide this information to you prior to the renewal season to help expedite the process and save you time when you come to purchase your automatic tag/decal.  Next month more information on the gate entry system will be sent to you along with the dates when the tags/decals will be available for sale.  Gate cards will no longer be sold for entry and all existing gate cards will not be allowed for entry after April 1st.

When reviewing the Property Information report, please ensure the following:

 

· All phone numbers (up to five numbers allowed) are correct.  To remove a phone number, simply draw a single line through it and write “Delete” next to it.  To add a number, simply write the 9 digit number and notate “Add” next to it. 

 

· Verify “Other-Occupants” section (your dependents only).  Please ensure the first and last name is listed in addition to the relationship and birthday.  For those individuals you need to remove, please draw a single line through the name and write “Delete” next to the name.  For those you need to add, simply write the name, relationship, and birthday and notate “Add” next to it.

 

· Remove all vehicle information on those cars/boats which are no longer in your possession.  Confirm that all other information is correct.  For those cars and boats you need to remove, please draw a single line through it and write “Delete” next to it.

 

· Please sign and date the bottom of the report then return it to us (either by mailing it with your statement payment, bringing it to the office, or dropping it in the payment box.)

 

Once again, I am aware that the changes we are making are, at times, inconvenient; but I assure you, these tremendous improvements will provide the comfort, appearance, and security that you, as our property owner, deserve.
