Toys for Tots 2008

Hide-A-Way Lake's annual Toys for Tots Campaign was conducted by the Social Committee. In support of the campaign, the Pearl River Central High School ROTC cadets conducted a toy drive at the school and collected 5 boxes of toys, as seen in the first picture below.

Again this year, the goal of the Social Committee was to collect the equivalent of 940 toys which represents the total number of homes in Hide-A-Way Lake. They received generous donations of toys and money from HAWL residents and their clubs and organizations, including the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve, Trinitiy Methodist Church, the HAWL Garden Club and Newcomers Club, and the Friday Afternoon Men's Group, which donated $5,500. The second picture below features Jackie Rabion, director of the local Toys for Tots Campaign, receiving the money collected from the Social Committee and Friday Afternoon Men's Group member Danny Stockstill.
