HAWL Election News

The annual HAWL election is coming up soon. 
This year, two seats on the Board of Directors will become vacant.
“Do your duty and get involved in your community!”


Qualifications - The Board of Directors shall consist of seven (7) members, all of whom shall be at least 21 years of age.   All members of the Board of Directors shall also be members in good standing with the Association as well as Hide-A-Way Lake Club, Inc., and shall maintain that good standing throughout the duration of their three year term. A candidate for the Board of Directors of the Association shall be willing to serve on the Board of Directors of Hide-A-Way Lake Club, Inc. In addition, a Director must:

  • Be a certified property owner for a period of two (2) years.
     
  • Never have been convicted of a felony in Federal or State Court as provided in Section 44 of the Mississippi State Constitution.
     
  • Never have been convicted of a crime punishable by confinement in a Penal Institution unless such a conviction resulted in a full pardon. 

PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION NOMINATING MEETING...

Will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Lodge for the purpose of nominating candidates for the Board of Directors. Election Nominations are due in the office by Wednesday, May 20, 2009 or you may come to this meeting to be nominated from the floor. Nominees must submit two resumes to the office. A resume of 50 words or less is required for the ballot and a resume of 150 words or less is required for the Echoes. After the Nominating Committee approves the candidates on June 6th, the resumes must be emailed or delivered to the office by Monday morning on June 8th. 


 Volunteers are Needed

For the Election Committee. Also, alternates are needed in case any of these committee members cannot serve for the ballot mail our or on election day.
