Wow! Finally Friday
Finger food time started on Friday, October 8, 2010, and will continue every Friday (pending any special events). Waters Edge will have the Lake View Room open on Friday evenings from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm for HAWL's version of Happy Hour. We will have the room open with a list of tasty appetizers from which you and your friends can choose. Come enjoy delicious food and meet your neighbors. This event will take place every Friday; however, please check the restaurant Calendar of Events for changes of times, dates, or locations.
Recycling Drive

HIDE-A-WAY GOES GREEN: In an effort to protect the environment and support our local SPCA and Employ Ability (formerly Picayune Industries), HAWL Social Committee will be hosting another Recycling Drive.
Please note, PLASTIC is no longer accepted.
The following items will be collected:

Aluminum Cans
-
Newspapers, Magazines, Catalogs, and Telephone Books - bundled
-
Mardi Gras Beads - bagged
-
Candles - no glass containers
-
Blankets, Towels, and Sheets (requested by the SPCA for the animals)

Cardboard - Please crush and fold down all boxes. Put all small boxes inside larger boxes once they are crushed. One large box will hold many pounds of cardboard and is easier to handle. The recycling of cardboard goes to the SPCA, so please save all cardboard materials, such as tissue rolls, cereal boxes, cake mix boxes, Christmas boxes, etc.
The above items may be dropped off at the HAWL Lodge parking lot from 7:30 am to 10:00 am on February 4th (no early drop-offs please). Those dropping off recyclable goods will receive a coupon for 10% off their purchase at Waters Edge. The coupon must be redeemed by February 26, 2012, (excludes special events).

Brunch, Bingo, & Boutique
Hide-A-Way Lake Social Committee is hosting a Ladies Luncheon and Local Business Fair in Waters Edge Restaurant on March 14, 2012, from 10:00 am–1:00 pm. Local businesses will be at Waters Edge restaurant in order to showcase their goods and services. All guests will be served a light lunch. There will also be 10 games of bingo for guests’ participation. There is a $12.00 per person charge (tax & tip incorporated), which includes lunch and the bingo games. Be sure to get here early; shopping begins at 10:00 am and the Bingo games begin at 11:00 am.
Please remember, reservations are required and must be made by March 7, 2012. Also, there must be a minimum of 40 participants signed up in order to have this event. Due to space limitations, bingo hall style seating will be utilized. Make your reservations today by calling the HAWL office at 601-798-1484.

St. Patrick's Day
On Saturday, March 17, 2012, from 5:00 pm - 8:30 pm Waters Edge will feature a traditional "Pattie's" day fair. The special menu for the day will include
items such as Corn Beef, Cabbage, and Potatoes. This St. Patrick's Day Corn Beef dinner is only $7.95 per person! A different dinner special and the regular menu will also be available. Be sure to wear your green and bring in all your friends to enjoy this great Irish holiday.
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
On Saturday, March 31, 2012, Waters Edge Restaurant will be hosting a breakfast buffet from 8:00 am-10:30 am. The cost of this buffet is only $8.95 for Adults, $5.95 for Children 12-5, and FREE for Children 4 and Under. After enjoying a wonderful, homemade breakfast, children will have the 
opportunity to participate in an Easter Egg Hunt and then meet the Easter Bunny! The Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 10:00 am. Newborns-10 year old children are eligible to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. Any parent who would like to donate wrapped candy may do so by bringing the candy to the HAWL Office.

on April 8, 2012, will have two seatings:
1st Seating..........11:30 am - 1:00 pm
2nd Seating..........1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

The HAWL Flea Market is Back!
The HAWL flea market will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Lodge from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. The cost of each space (2 parking spaces) is $10.
Please note the following:

The “rain date” is scheduled for April 21, 2012.

There is a limit of 2 spaces (4 parking spaces) per property owner.

Participants are required to supply their own tables.

Participants are required to remove all of their boxes and debris after the event.

Set-up cannot be done the night before the Flea Market.

Participants can begin setting up the day of the Flea Market at 6:30 am. Set-up must be completed by 7:30 am; at this time, all vehicles will need to
be removed from the area.
