Waters Edge hopes everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July!

On Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 5:00 pm-8:30 pm Waters Edge will host a tasty Italian Buffet with items such as Chicken Alfredo, Lasagna, Sausage and Sweet Peppers, Soup, Salad, tongue teasing Sweets, and much more! The cost of this buffet is only $10.95 for Adults, $5.95 for children 12 and Under, and FREE for Children 4 and Under.

The opening act comedian for the comedy night on Saturday, August 28, 2010, has been chosen. Waters Edge would like to welcome comedian and entertainer Becky Allen! A New Orleans icon, Becky Allen has appeared in a dazzling array of musicals, comedies, and cabaret shows. She won the 2007 Storer Boone Award for her starring role in Kimberly Akimbo. Other recent shows include "Boobs! The Musical", "OKRA", "Dirty Blonde", the Fred Palmisano revue "Tunes", and Ricky Graham’s long-running comedy "And the Ball and All". Becky has also appeared in a number of feature films and local television and radio commercials. She is a multiple recipient of the Gambit and New Orleans Magazine favorite actress awards. Becky also received the Big Easy Lifetime Achievement Award. Becky was the inspiration for the Harry Mayronne/Ricky Graham song “Every Day is Mardi Gras in Heaven”. So for those who haven't done so yet, please make your reservation today as space is limited. Dinner will start with a hearty Hamburger Steak served over mashed potatoes and topped with a rich brown gravy, sautéed onions and mushrooms, joined by a vegetable and warm roll. Then satisfy that sweet tooth with a delicious pecan cobbler. $25 per person (includes tax and tip), which covers the entertainment, dinner, coffee, iced tea, and water. On Saturday, August 28, 2010, the doors open precisely at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 8:00 pm. This event requires a minimum of 40 people to take place. This hilarious comedy is rated PG-15 and lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cancellation/Reservation deadline is July 30, 2010. Call today to make your reservations 601-798-1484.
