HAWL Newsletter 4/15/2026 – 4/21/2026
HAWL would like to invite our community to meet with General Manager Bruce Devillier for a Community Meet and Greet in Waters Edge Restaurant (upstairs of the Lodge) Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 9:00 am. Everyone who attends this event will receive a coupon for either a free appetizer or dessert with the purchase of an entrée. This face-to-face collaboration with property owners will provide the opportunity to ask questions to the General Manager directly. This is a great time to ask any questions to prevent the spread of misinformation and to meet some of your neighbors as great neighbors make great communities. While new property owners are highly encouraged to attend, everyone in HAWL is welcome. If you wish to discuss individual matters such as an issue with a neighbor or a complaint, contact the General Manager directly at the Office to set up an appointment.
After meeting with the General Manager we invite you to stay for lunch at Waters Edge for the BBQ Rib Plate Special from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. In addition to the full menu, enjoy a BBQ Rib Plate with BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, baked beans, and coleslaw for $14.99 per plate.
It’s that time of the year again for the Spring Brunch, Bingo, & Boutique on Wednesday, April 22, 2026! The Social Committee is hosting the BBB from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Vendors will be showcasing their goods and services. Guests will enjoy Florentine pasta and banana fosters bread pudding while playing ten games of bingo for $15.00 per person. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.

This family friendly event is great for both children and children at heart! Light snacks will be provided. Saturday, May 9, 2026, Alexis Theatre Productions presents a Murder Mystery Dinner Show at Waters Edge. Doors open at 6:15 pm; Show at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $45.00 person and includes a three course meal, costume contest, commemorative photo, and prizes for wining sleuths. Enjoy Hawaiian style pork sliders, macadamia crusted mahi (may be substituted for chicken with advance notice), and pina colada cupcakes while solving this luau themed who done it! Royal Reds Beach Bag & Burger Special

Enjoy royal reds either at the restaurant or to-go so you may enjoy music on the beach. The special includes half a pound of royal red shrimp, potatoes, corn-on-the cob, butter, cocktail sauce, and crackers for $12.99. Band on the Beach featuring Runaway Train

Grab your beach chairs, coolers, and boats for this fun FREE family event! The band will be performing at the outdoor Lodge lower level at no charge for property owners and their guests. All ages are welcome. This is a free family friendly event and as always no glass

Fishing Rodeo
Saturday, May 30, 2026 Dusk (May 29, 2026) – 12:00 pm (May 30, 2026); Awards: 12:30 pm
The Fishing Rodeo will begin at dusk May 29th and end at noon May 30th. Pick up a map of fishing habitat locations at the Lodge, HAWL website, or East Marina Pavilion (when scales are open) to locate fishing spots. Weigh-in will be at the East Marina Pavilion by the Lodge. The scales open
at 9:00 am and close promptly at noon. Awards will be presented at 12:30 pm. There will be only one weigh-in per fisherman; all fish must be caught by hook and line. There will be four fish
categories (bass, bream/bluegill, crappie, and catfish) and three age groups (10 & under, 11 – 14, and 15 & older). 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes for the largest total weight of fish will be awarded in all age groups in each fish category. (Entry limit for bass, bream/bluegill, and crappie is up to five fish. Unlimited catfish may be entered.) A separate trophy open to all age groups will be presented for Largest Bass. There is no need to register for this FREE Rodeo. For more information, call the Office at 601-798-1484. No skiing or tubing will be allowed on the lake during the fishing rodeo.
