The HAWL Social Committee is hosting a Ladies Luncheon and Vendors Boutique in Waters Edge Restaurant on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. Vendors will be showcasing their goods and services. All guests will enjoy a light lunch and ten games of bingo for $15.00 per person (tax and tip included). Shopping begins at 10:00 am and the bingo games begin at 11:00 am. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.

Fire Station Open House

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, the Security Committee will be hosting an Open House at the HAWL Fire Station. Refreshments will be available and children will have the opportunity to meet a firefighter and see the equipment. Be sure to bring the family for this fun, informative event.
Cinco de Mayo

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, with Waters Edge. The special for the day will include: a cup of tortilla soup, Mexican rice, black beans, enchilada bake, a taco, a tamale, and cinnamon tortilla strips with vanilla ice cream for dessert. The cost of the special is $14.99 per plate. Due to popularity, reservations are required for this event. Take out orders are available and must be picked up between 11:00 am - 11:30 am with the time specified when ordering. To make reservations, call the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484. No other menu items will be available.

Enjoy baked ham, fried chicken, sweet potato casserole, the vegetable of the day, a dinner salad, a cup of soup, a roll, and dessert for $15.99. A kid’s portion will be available for the little ones for $6.99 featuring ham, fried chicken, sweet potato casserole, the vegetable of the day, a roll, and dessert. Fishing Rodeo
Friday, May 17, 2024 (dusk) - Saturday, May 18, 2024 (12:00 pm)
The Fishing Rodeo will begin at dusk May 17th and end at noon May 18th. Pick up a map of fishing habitat locations at the Lodge, HAWL website, or East Marina Pavilion (when scales are open) to locate fishing spots. Weigh-in will be at the East Marina Pavilion by the Lodge. The scales open at 9:00 am and close promptly at noon. Awards will be presented at 12:30 pm. There will be only one weigh-in per fisherman; all fish must be caught byhook and line. There will be four fish categories (bass, bream/bluegill, crappie, and catfish) and three age groups (10 & under, 11 – 14, and 15 & older). 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes for the largest total weight of fish will be awarded in all age groups in each fish category. (Entry limit for bass, bream/bluegill, and crappie is up to five fish. Unlimited catfish may be entered.) A separate trophy open to all age groups will be presented for Largest Bass. There is no need to register for this FREE Rodeo. For more information, call the Office at 601-798-1484. No skiing or tubing will be allowed on the lake during the fishing rodeo.
Beach Bag Special

Enjoy royal reds and snow crab legs either at the restaurant (inside or on the deck) or to-go so you may enjoy the music of Runaway Train on the beach. The special includes royal red shrimp, a cluster of snow crab legs, potatoes, corn-on-the cob, butter, cocktail sauce, and crackers for $18.99. Reservations are
required and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484. Reserved to-go orders must be picked up by 6:30 pm. Waters Edge will also feature a Burger Special: a delicious Waters Edge burger, anyway you want it with chips for $9.99. No other menu items will be available.
Band on the Beach featuring Runaway Train (Thanks to Herring Ford)

Grab your beach chairs, coolers, and boats for this fun FREE family event! Runaway Train will be performing at the outdoor Lodge lower level at no charge for property owners and their guests. All ages are welcome. This is a free family friendly event and as always no glass containers are allowed at the beach or Lodge area. This performance is generously being sponsored by Herring Ford.
Flag Raising Ceremony

Swim Lessons 
June 4, 2024 - August 2, 2024
Individual swim lessons with one lifeguard per child will be offered beginning June 4th through August 2ndon Tuesdays – Fridays at 9:00 am with LIMITED AVAILABILITY. (Make up day for bad weather is Saturday.) Four sessions (45 minutes each) will be spaced out over four days and will take place in the HAWL pool with a HAWL lifeguard with only two children per session. Children must be at least three years old to participate. The cost is $150 per child. Only property owners may register children and may do so by contacting the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484. Lessons must be charged to the HAWL account and are nonrefundable.
Father's Day Surf or Turf

Join Waters Edge on Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm for Father’s Day Surf or Turf. Enjoy either roasted prime rib for $19.99 or trout (fried or grilled) for $14.99. Both specials include a roasted potato, the vegetable of the day, and your choice of a dinner salad or a cup of soup. A kid’s meal will be available for the little ones for $6.99. Fireworks Celebration

HAWL’s Annual Fireworks Celebration will be held at 9:00 pm on Thursday, July 4, 2024, with a rain date of Friday, July 5, 2024. (For the Fireworks Celebration to proceed, there must be dry weather conditions at 7:00 pm.) HAWL’s Fireworks Donation Goal is $6,500. This fireworks show depends solely on donations and is 100% funded by Property Owners. Contributors will be listed in the Echoes with a running total of the amount donated. To donate, please complete and submit a Fireworks Donation Slip.
