Bring the family out to the Lodge this Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 8:30 am – 11:00 am for Touch a Truck to meet community helpers and see their vehicles up close! This family friendly event is great for both children and children at heart! Light snacks will be provided. If you are a community helper with a vehicle and would like to participate, contact the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484
Alexis Theatre Productions presents a Murder Mystery Dinner Show at Waters Edge. The Last Luau: Lei’d to Rest – Murder Mystery Dinner Show is this Saturday, May 9, 2026. Doors open at 6:15 pm; Show at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $45.00 person and includes a three course meal, costume contest, commemorative photo, and prizes for winning sleuths. Enjoy Hawaiian style pork sliders, macadamia crusted mahi (may be substituted for chicken with advance notice), and pina colada cupcakes while solving this luau themed who done it! Reservations are required as space is limited and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.
HAWL would like to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all of our wonderful Mothers in the community! Remember to make your reservations for Mother’s Day Lunch this Sunday, May 10, 2026, from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. The menu will include shrimp cocktail as an appetizer ($9.99), petite filet topped with garlic butter shrimp and served with roasted potatoes and asparagus ($24.99) or trout almondine over roasted potatoes and asparagus ($16.99), and cheesecake dessert ($4.99). The full kids menu will be available. Space is limited; reservations are required and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484.

Enjoy royal reds either at the restaurant or to-go so you may enjoy music on the beach. The special includes half a pound of royal red shrimp, potatoes, corn-on-the cob, butter, cocktail sauce, and crackers for $12.99. Reservations are required for the Royal Reds Beach Bag Special and can be made by calling the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484. Reserved to-go orders must be picked up by 6:30 pm. Band on the Beach featuring Runaway Train

Grab your beach chairs, coolers, and boats for this fun FREE family event! The band will be performing at the outdoor Lodge lower level at no charge for property owners and their guests. All ages are welcome. This is a free family friendly event and as always no glass

Fishing Rodeo
Saturday, May 30, 2026 Dusk (May 29, 2026) – 12:00 pm (May 30, 2026); Awards: 12:30 pm
The Fishing Rodeo will begin at dusk May 29th and end at noon May 30th. Pick up a map of fishing habitat locations at the Lodge, HAWL website, or East Marina Pavilion (when scales are open) to locate fishing spots. Weigh-in will be at the East Marina Pavilion by the Lodge. The scales open
at 9:00 am and close promptly at noon. Awards will be presented at 12:30 pm. There will be only one weigh-in per fisherman; all fish must be caught by hook and line. There will be four fish
categories (bass, bream/bluegill, crappie, and catfish) and three age groups (10 & under, 11 – 14, and 15 & older). 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes for the largest total weight of fish will be awarded in all age groups in each fish category. (Entry limit for bass, bream/bluegill, and crappie is up to five fish. Unlimited catfish may be entered.) A separate trophy open to all age groups will be presented for Largest Bass. There is no need to register for this FREE Rodeo. For more information, call the Office at 601-798-1484. No skiing or tubing will be allowed on the lake during the fishing rodeo.
Crawfish Boil with Live Music

Saturday, June 6, 2026, Waters Edge will host a Crawfish Boil as well as the full menu from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Enjoy three pounds of crawfish with potatoes and corn for $15.99. Reservations are required due to limited quantity and can be made by calling the HAWL Office. Additionally, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, Hide-A-Way Lake presents a showcase of acoustic musicians playing a mix of Americana music.
Family Dinner Night

Saturday, June 13, 2026, Waters Edge will host Family Dinner Night from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. With the purchase of an adult entrée, kids 13 years and younger eat free from the Kids Menu. Along with the full menu, family friendly specials will be offered. In addition to dinner, movies will be on in the Lakeview Room as well as coloring sheets and table games for families to enjoy.

Community Meet & Greet with the General Manager

Saturday, June 27, 2026, join HAWL’s General Manager Bruce Devillier for a Community Meet and Greet at 9:00 am in Waters Edge Restaurant. This face-to-face collaboration with property owners will provide the opportunity to ask questions to the General Manager directly. This is a great time to ask any questions to prevent the spread of misinformation. While new property owners are highly encouraged to attend, everyone in HAWL is welcome. This meeting will also provide the opportunity to meet the candidates running for the Board of Directors, should there be an election. If you wish to discuss individual matters such as an issue with a neighbor or a complaint, contact the General Manager directly at the Office to set up an appointment.
Oyster Night

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, enjoy charbroiled oysters with bread and lemons. $19.99 for a
dozen or $9.99 for a half dozen. While the special is available from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Waters Edge will feature the full menu until 8:00 pm. For ordering purposes, reservations are required for oysters no later than Wednesday, June 24, 2026, by calling the HAWL Office.
