HAWL would like our community to be aware of the high level of the Lake, and to please use caution while near or on the water. The No Wake for the entire lake has been is lifted, but please still use CAUTION.
The Spring Fishing Rodeo scheduled for this Saturday May 30, 2026, is cancelled. Heavy rainfall is predicted to continue throughout this week. Thus, unstable lake conditions prompted the cancellation of the rodeo. Residents will be notified when a new date is established for the rodeo.
Water Aerobics will begin this week. These are FREE Classes will take place Tuesday - Friday from 8:30 am - 9:30 am. Contact Sally Edwards at 601-799-2163 for more information.
Get your singing voice ready for Karaoke Night Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Waters Edge will host Karaoke Night run by David Delcambre. Enjoy the full menu and delicious specials from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm; mic opens at 6:00 pm for your enjoyment.

Swim Lessons
Each one-on-one session, taught by a certified lifeguard trained in swim instruction, will take place Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 am - 9:45 am. These weekly lessons will run from June through July. The cost is $150.00 per session and there are only two spots available each week. Children must be potty trained and able to follow basic instructions. Lessons are nonrefundable and only property owners may register swimmers. Lessons will be charged to the HAWL account. Call the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484 to register.
Board of Directors Nominating Meeting
Saturday, June 6, 2026 10:00 am
The meeting is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Lodge for the purpose of nominating candidates for the Board of Directors. Election nominations are due in the Office by Wednesday, May 20, 2026, with two resumes: one of 150 words for Echoes and one of 50 words for the ballot for the Nominating Committee to review.
Crawfish Boil with Live Music
Saturday, June 6, 2026 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Saturday, June 6, 2026, Waters Edge will host a Crawfish Boil as well as the full menu from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Enjoy three pounds of crawfish with potatoes and corn for $15.99. Reservations are required due to limited quantity and can be made by calling the HAWL Office. Additionally, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, Hide-A-Way Lake presents a showcase of acoustic musicians playing a mix of Americana music.
Family Dinner Night

Saturday, June 13, 2026, Waters Edge will host Family Dinner Night from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. With the purchase of an adult entrée, kids 13 years and younger eat free from the Kids Menu. Along with the full menu, family friendly specials will be offered. In addition to dinner, movies will be on in the Lakeview Room as well as coloring sheets and table games for families to enjoy.
Buffet Night

Saturday, June 20, 2026, join Waters Edge for a classic Southern Buffet from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Father’s Day Surf & Turf

Community Meet & Greet with the General Manager

Saturday, June 27, 2026, join HAWL’s General Manager Bruce Devillier for a Community Meet and Greet at 9:00 am in Waters Edge Restaurant. This face-to-face collaboration with property owners will provide the opportunity to ask questions to the General Manager directly. This is a great time to ask any questions to prevent the spread of misinformation. While new property owners are highly encouraged to attend, everyone in HAWL is welcome. This meeting will also provide the opportunity to meet the candidates running for the Board of Directors, should there be an election. If you wish to discuss individual matters such as an issue with a neighbor or a complaint, contact the General Manager directly at the Office to set up an appointment.
Blood Drive
Saturday, June 27, 2026 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
In response to a nationwide critical blood supply shortage, HAWL is sponsoring a blood drive through the Blood Center of Picayune on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. The donation bus will at the Lodge parking lot. All donors will receive a coupon for a free appetizer with the purchase of two entrees. Call the HAWL Office at 601-798-1484 for more information.
Oyster Night
Saturday, June 27, 2026 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm (Special: 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm)
On Saturday, June 27, 2026, enjoy charbroiled oysters with bread and lemons. $19.99 for a
dozen or $9.99 for a half dozen. While the special is available from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Waters Edge will feature the full menu until 8:00 pm. For ordering purposes, reservations are required for oysters no later than Wednesday, June 24, 2026, by calling the HAWL Office.
Fireworks Show
Saturday, July 4, 2026 9:00 pm
Rain date of Sunday, July 5, 2026. (There must be dry conditions at 7:00 pm for show to proceed.) HAWL’s Fireworks Donation Goal is $6,500.This fireworks show depends solely on donations and is 100% funded by Property Owners. Thank you for your donation!
