Please leave Waste Management trash carts out by the roadway today Wednesday, July 29th. Waste Management will pick up trash carts after trash pickup today. Coastal Environment started to deliver trash carts yesterday, July 28th and will be delivering trash carts until tomorrow July 30th . Monday, August 3rd collections begin with Coastal Environment Services, please have carts out by the roadway for 5:00 am.
It’s about that time, back to school time! HAWL would like everyone to have a great and safe return to back to school. Allow yourself a few extra minutes in the morning when driving and ensure that you are not driving distracted. The following are school bus traffic safety rules that must be followed:
*By law, when a school bus stops to drop off or pick up students, motorists must stop at a distance of at least 25 feet from the school bus.
*It is illegal to pass a bus that has stopped and has on its flashing red lights with the stop sign extended.
*Be aware of your surroundings while driving by not being distracted. Monitor your speed, obey stop signs, and do not text while driving.
*Parents, please remind children to look both ways before crossing the street to and from the bus.

Saturday, August 8, 2026, Waters Edge will host Family Dinner Night from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. With the purchase of an adult entrée, kids 13 years and younger eat free from the Kids Menu. Along with the full menu, family friendly specials will be offered. In addition to dinner, movies will be on in the Lakeview Room as well as coloring sheets and table games for families to enjoy. containers are allowed at the beach or Lodge area. This performance is generously being sponsored by The Scholarship Foundation for Hide-A-Way Lake Students.
